We embarked at Vancouver having spent a few nights at the Pan Pacific Hotel. Regent Seven Seas allowed embarkation from 1200 instead of the usual time of 1500 (although suites would not be ready for occupancy until 1500). Lunch was served for all guests who had embarked early and at 1500 it was announced that suites were ready.
We made our way to our suite which was located Forward on Deck 11 (the highest deck with accommodation) and found that it was spotlessly cleaned and prepared to the highest standard. Before long "our" Butler came to introduce himself and showed us that the in-suite fridge had been stocked with our requested beverages and snacks and fresh fruit were in the suite. These were replenished daily.
Quality of food on board was excellent and on two evenings (out of seven) we enjoyed eating in the Signatures Restaurant which was delightful and on one evening in the Latitudes Restaurant - also excellent.
Entertainment - apart from a few films shown, we felt that the entertainment was slightly lacking and the musical "productions" we a little amateur.
The highlight of the cruise was probably Hubbard Glacier and the commentary given was excellent.
Overall it was a superb introduction to cruising and we are now looking into which cruise to enjoy next.
